For 30 years, we have been refining our farming and production processes to meet the needs of our Japanese beef clients. We have adapted this feeding style and incorporated all key attributes into our operations in the USA. These attributes include ideal year-round feeding conditions, top-tier feed ingredients sourced from our farms, a minimum of 550 days on grain, Snowpack sourced river water, ample spacing, and a commitment to not using hormones.
Our farm products are world-renowned and exported to 20 countries. The fertile, irrigated land of Imperial Valley, CA has a year-round growing season. This allows for ideal cure periods and perfectly timed harvests producing the highest quality forage products.
We raise our cattle with the motto, "It's a marathon, not a race." Our cattle are fed a specific nutritionist-approved diet using our family's local farm products like Bermuda straw, Sudan grass, and Kline grass for optimum vitamin levels. This mixture, combined with steam-flaked corn, has been modified over time to produce outstanding marbling with a high degree of Japanese A5 characteristics.
Our family believes that the environment and water quality are equally important as the feeding diet. Abatti Ranch Wagyu cattle enjoy dry and consistent weather throughout the year in contrast to Midwest harsh winter weather. Our snowpack-sourced river water is constantly circulated and continuously filtered, giving our Wagyu herd fresh and cold drinking water. This focus on environment and water quality is a direct link to our 30-year history of mastering the Japanese feeding style.
